I’m a web developer/ web worker/ web designer

I’m a geek who’s expressing her inner nerdiness through programming and all that web development stuff. I can browse the web for hours and snoop in web sites source code.
This web site is my playground, blog and my own web space I use for all sorts of things.
I used to say that

the mechanic’s car is always broken.

By putting this website on the webs I prove myself wrong.

A few reasons why you want me to design your website

• I’m very happy to earn my living this way. I focus on the timely correspondence with clients, I don’t intimidate with technical stuff, and  I enjoy making the internet beautiful and usable
• I worked for a number of web development companies and built web sites for many corporate, government, educational organisation. I’m grateful for all of the chances they gave me and what I’ve learned
• You can trust me to be completely transparent, honest and straightforward (ask anyone)!

I enjoy it when someone finds my work both easy to use and inspiring visually.

Why you may NOT want me to design your site

• You don’t care about the quality of your website’s code (If you need proof or aren’t sure why this matters, drop me an email and I’d be delighted to explain this in more detail (while not using tech-jargon, of course)
• Your nephew/neighbour/a guy you know, is taking a web class and would be happy to build a site for you. And you’d be happy to have him build your site
• You want to inform me  that you could easily do all the work yourself, you just don’t have time
• You’re rude/cranky/mean

Personal me

Enjoying the scenery while on a detour

I’m that person who’s laughing really loud and almost cry-like when something really funny is going on. There are many things which make me laugh. I’m generally a ridiculous human being.
Also I speak with that kind of accent which will make you ask me one of the following questions:
1. So… Is it really cold there in winter where you’re from… where are you from once again?..
or
2. Where are you from? Where is it?
When I talk my mouth doesn’t move too much, it produces an elaborate accent.  I say “fings and fots” when I think of  “things and thoughts” ; I treasure my fossilized grammar errors ( I have to like them because I can’t get rid of them).

I love travelling . I’ve been to 40 countries and my life ambition is to pin all  territories and countries on the world map. I’d really love to go to Cuba next but I’ll go to Malta, Italy and Ukraine (so I guess Cuba is a long-term plan).

I think that a goat is a perfect pet and I want to own one. I discovered that many people talk affectionately about goats.

I have a degree in teaching and linguistics, diplomas/certificates in programming  and I managed to spend 7 years in an art school many, many years ago . I couldn’t care less about them but I thought I’d mention this fact because at some point in my life I took time and learned a lot of things I’ve completely forgotten about.

I lived in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Goa/India,  Brisbane and Sydney in Australia and Ukraine (yep, the mystery is solved, I’m Ukrainian and I speak surjik – a bridging dialect between Russian and Ukrainian,  so basically I speak all known to me languages with an accent or two).

Ukraine is cold in winter, hot in summer; it’s famous for Chicken Kiev, Shevchenko (soccer player) and a very entertaining government.

I have a husband who thinks we’re complete opposites (it’s obvious because I’m a girl and he’s a boy).

Another thing is that he’s growing some facial hair in a form of beard, and I prefer mine in the brow area.

That’s enough about me. I’ll put my trumpet back in the cabinet.
